For Solar Companies

What is SunTarget?

SunTarget helps residential solar companies reach the right homeowners. We use Google’s Solar API to score every roof by solar potential, then produce personalized postcards and door-to-door walk packs targeting only the homes most likely to benefit from solar.

How accurate are the solar scores?

Solar scores are generated by Google’s Solar API, which uses high-resolution aerial imagery and 3D modeling to estimate each roof’s solar potential. Scores reflect real roof geometry, shade, orientation, and local weather patterns. They are reliable estimates intended for marketing — a professional site survey is always recommended before installation.

What products do you offer?

We offer two main products:

  • Postcard campaigns — Personalized direct mail postcards with property-specific solar data, printed and mailed to targeted addresses.
  • Walk packs — Route-optimized door-to-door packets with property cards, maps, and route sheets for your sales team. Available as printed packs or downloadable PDFs.

How do I target specific neighborhoods?

When creating a campaign or walk pack, you draw an area on the map or enter ZIP codes. We find all residential properties in that area, score each one, and let you filter by solar grade (A through D) so you only pay for the highest-potential homes.

How long does printing and delivery take?

Postcards are typically printed within 2–3 business days and delivered via USPS within 5–7 business days after printing. Walk pack PDFs are available for immediate download. Printed walk packs follow the same timeline as postcards.

Can I add my company branding to the materials?

Yes. You can upload your company logo and set up sales rep profiles (name, photo, phone number) in your Settings → Team page. Each walk pack can be assigned a different rep, and your branding appears on every card.

How do QR codes on cards work?

Every property card includes a unique QR code. When a homeowner scans it, they’re directed to the URL you provide — your website, a landing page, or a specific campaign link. You can track scan activity in your dashboard to see which neighborhoods are engaging.

What territories are available?

SunTarget currently supports residential properties across the United States. Coverage depends on Google Solar API data availability, which is extensive in most metro and suburban areas. You can check availability for your target area by entering a ZIP code on our free territory report page.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Can I cancel an order?

Orders that have not entered production can be canceled for a full refund. Once printing has begun, cancellations are not possible. If there is a printing error on our end, we will reprint at no cost or issue a refund. See our Terms of Service for full details.

How do I get started?

Create a free account, complete the onboarding steps, and you can start building your first campaign or walk pack right away. No monthly subscription is required — you only pay for what you order.

I Received a Card or Postcard

Why did I receive this?

A local solar installer in your area identified your home as having strong solar potential based on publicly available property and satellite data. The card was sent to share that information with you — there is no obligation or commitment of any kind.

What do the numbers on my card mean?

Your card shows estimates based on your roof’s size, orientation, and sunlight exposure. These may include potential energy savings, recommended system size, and sun hours. These are estimates to give you a general idea — a professional solar consultation will provide detailed figures for your home.

Is this a scam?

No. The card was sent by a licensed solar installation company in your area. The property data shown on your card comes from publicly available records and Google’s satellite imagery. No private information was used. If you have concerns, you can contact the company listed on your card directly.

How do I learn more or get a quote?

The best next step is to contact the solar company listed on your card. Their name, phone number, and/or website should be printed on the card. You can also scan the QR code on your card to visit their website directly. They can answer questions specific to your home, local incentives, and pricing.

I scanned the QR code. What happens with my information?

Scanning the QR code takes you to the solar company’s website. We record that a scan occurred (date, general location) to help the company understand which areas are interested, but we do not collect your name, email, or any personal information through the QR code.

How do I stop receiving these mailings?

The mailings are sent by the solar company listed on your card. To opt out, please contact them directly using the information on your card. You can also visit our unsubscribe page to add your address to our suppression list.
